The Japanese Literature Challenge 2

Yes, yes another challenge!

This challenge is held over at Dolce Bellezza the aim is to read 3 Japanese books between the 30th of July to the 30th of December, whether it is fiction, poetry, graphic novel, autobiography or a biography.

I'm not one hundred percent sure what I will be reading at the moment but I have a few ideas:
Any of Murakami which I haven't read
The Pillow Book by Shonogan
The Sailor Who Fell From Grace With The Sea, Mishma
Out by Kirino
I have read:

Katrina, one more thing: I've looked for your email address and been unable to find it. Would you mail it to me at so that I can include you in the review site and send you other updates as they occur? Thanks!

Japanese literature for a teenage boy ??
my son (Evan) is a Junior in HS
and taking Japanese ( 2nd year )

he is NOT a big reader
but a book about a Japanese teenager(s) or
young college stuent would probably sorely tempt him

OR TRANSLATED - either way

i've looked thru various "google" links, but they seemed to be
more geared toward elementary children
