My preliminary list (subject to change) is:
A Short History of Everythingby Bill Bryson
The Bookseller of Kabul by Asne Seierstad
Reading Lolita in Tehran by Azar Nafisi
Balderdash and Piffle by Alex Games.
And I'm going to search out a book on Indian culture hopefully.

Hi Katrina! Welcome to the Non-Fiction Five Challenge! We're so glad to have you join us. I've heard of all your choices, except the Balderdash and Piffle one. I know that Balderdash is a word game, but I never heard of the other. Should prove to be an interesting read. We don't have much longer to wait before we can begin, meanwhile...Happy Reading!
I loved the Bill Bryson book; but I am also a science geek;) I hope you enjoy it. I saw elsewhere you are reading A Fine Balance; I'm anxious to read your review - I found it to be a very powerful book. Did that send you looking for the book on Indian culture?
I'll be posting on it when I have finished, only 200 pages to go! I've always been interested in India and have read a lot of novels based there but actually don't know much about the place.
